Have you ever strived so hard in work and in business but nothing seems to happen? Are you feeling frustrated when God doesn’t seem to hear your prayers? I would like to share my thoughts on how I was able to deal this questions in my life. I’m 28 years old and I ran a small business of retail stores. I have atleast 10 people who depends on me. I have high rents that I need to pay month after month. My funds are limited for marketing campaigns, inventory is sometimes not enough, my people borrows a lot of money for emergency and urgent needs, sales is sometimes bad, quota is not met, stealing, extortion, and other unwanted factors. This problems and challenges that I face are very normal in a business environment. I used to worry a lot when things don’t fall on the right places and time.
To give you a clear realization, this things are mostly beyond my control but it shall never stop or hinder me in my goal to succeed. This are bumps that are very common but can affect a person in different ways. It depends on how someone handles the situations and stresses of life. I learned from Matthew 6:25-27
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?
People tend to worry on things that are valued the most. If you worry about your business that means your top priority and most valued thing in life is your business. The bible confidently tells us not to worry at all because God is going to take care of all our needs. We must trust him and He knows what He’s doing. We cannot control all the external factors that are happening in our business so why not depend those things to God who has confidently repeated in his words that He will provide everything that we need if we only seek Him first. (Matthew 6:33-34)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Running a business takes a lot of guts and will. It can totally drive us nuts. If you are already on your knees and begging our God to bless you with your needs and wants, this is the right time to trust Him by seeking and obeying his word. God never changes as it says in Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; and in Hebrews 13:8 it says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” If God has done it for the lives of Abraham, Jacob, David, Joseph, Job and other men of God in the Bible how much more for us. His grace is so abundant that God has declared tin Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God’s plan for each and everyone of us is to prosper which means, victorious, successful, contented in life, grateful, to become strong and flourish. With this promise, it reminds me that He holds all our future and He just wants us to trust and let HIM do the work for HIS GLORY AND HONOR.
